Wet n’ Wild Primers Review

I have had these for a looooooong time, wearing them regularly. I’m sorry for the super overdue, this semester has been hectic really! Between the horrible weather and my course load I have little time to do this.

These two primers are part of the Fergie Center Stage Collection. They claim to prep and brighten eyelids to provide vibrant and creaseless shadow that will last all day.

Now, I purchased two finishes, original and shimmer. The original formula seems to rival the Urban Decay eye shadow potion in many ways. The eye shadow potion never seemed to work for me, which was pretty sad. I also tired the Sin version of the eye shadow potion for which the Shimmer primer seems to be a dupe.

With the original primer I noticed my eye shadow did not crease as soon. Usually without primer my eye shadow creases at the two hour mark, but with this my eye shadow extended to six hours of wear. This is pretty impressive for someone that has horribly oily eyelids (and face in general). As for making eye shadow more vibrant, I didn’t notice any significant difference.

The shimmery version did not impress me as much, as it was not as good as the original one. Besides providing me with a champagne shimmery canvas, the wear of my eye shadow was shorter, although still longer than without the primer. I noticed about four hours of extended wear of eye shadow, and it did make my eye shadow work slightly more vibrant, although nothing to write home about. Here the UD’s Sin primer seems to win.

I think these are really good primers, although I am not in love with the shimmery one because I believe the shimmer was a bit overwhelming and the wear was not as good. Other than that, they are definitely worth your money!

I got these for 4.99 at Walgreens.
