What is it?: Benefit’s Bella Bamba is described as a “watermelon-pink blush laced with shimmering gold undertones.” There is also a sticker on the full sized version that states it is a “3D Pink.” The one pictured above is a 0.1 oz deluxe sample, while the new standard size is 0.28 oz. The standard full size has recently been repackaged as a flip top with a magnetic closure (it used to be a larger 0.42 oz. size and had a removable lid) and also comes with a mirror and a small square brush.
Where do I get it?: You can get this from Benefit counters/online and at Sephora and Ulta. The full size retails for $28, but sometimes you can get deals on them at places like QVC (where I recently got the full sized one plus a lipgloss for $19). If you have a large collection, you might try to find a sample version. The deluxe sample size is very generous and can last a long time. I got this one as a 100 pt Sephora perk. Sometimes, they are even available with an online promo code, as Sephora recently did with their Dandelion Powder (review to come shortly). Right now, you can get a deluxe sample of Coralista and a deluxe sample of Sunbeam together for $12 here. Lastly, as I always say, look on ebay!
Thoughts: Benefit’s boxed powders definitely live up to their cult classic status. They are beautifully pigmented and last just about the whole day on me. I also really like that they are scented, it just adds an extra nice touch to them (no, it isn’t noticeable after you apply them). Bella Bamba smells kinda like a citrus-y floral and Coralista has a powdery floral scent. As far as the description of Bella Bamba mentioned above, I would not say that it has “shimmery gold undertones.” This thing really is a glitter bomb, though a lot of the shimmer can be buffed away if you like. Personally, I like gold shimmer (especially in the summer) so this is perfect for me. Comparing the two powders, Bella Bamba is pinker and has larger gold particles, while Coralista is obviously coral and has a finer gold shimmer to it. They are pretty similar though, and lately I have actually been mixing the two and wearing them together almost daily. I would definitely recommend these powders, though I would tell you to try to find deluxe samples or find a deal because $28 really is a bit steep for one powder. Also, I am miffed that about the size change without a corresponding price change :/
