Nails from the second week of Jan. Super awesome pink holographic polish from Urban Outfitters that my friend, Fatima, got me. Layered on top of that is Julep’s Yumi (which is a super awesome dupe of Teenage Dream from OPI’s Katy Perry collection).
BTW, since tumblr did their last update is there a way to re-arrange photosets like there was before (like you can choose what style they are arranged in/what photos are the biggest)?
Made this ring for my friend using nail polish, a ring base, and one of those glass rock things you put in vases. I mostly used a black craft glitter, MAC’s 3D Copper glitter, Essie’s Shine of the Times, and Butter London’s Knackered. Basically, paint the rocks in reverse order of how you would paint your nails (after cleaning with alcohol, start with a top coat, then glitters, then the colors). After it dries, use a hot glue gun to fix it onto the ring base. Bonus: re-purpose neglected polishes! Some polishes look super amazing in the bottle but crappy on the nails. The glass will make the color appear as amazing as it does in the bottle.
NOTW: 2nd Week of Sept Pt. II
NOTW: 2nd week of Sept (sorry, hadn’t cleaned the cuticles yet)
Andrea’s Choice in Spectacle, with a holographic Love & Beauty Glitter on top.
I stopped by Sephora this weekend and they had quite a few new things in for Fall! One thing that caught my eye was their five new Pantone Collection nail polishes so I swatched them. All of these are two coats, except for the pinkie nail, which only has one coat. The colors on my pointer and middle finger are deep and complex. The one on my thumb is awesome, though I thought it would have a stronger green shimmer when just looking at the bottle (sorry I knicked my thumb nail before the polish dried). Also, I already have too many purple/green duochromes. Maybe I’ll end up picking up the blue colors when I have some money.
Liner-and-Lashes Makeup Challenge: Day 8
Day 8. Eight Favorite Nail Colors (and their brands)
This one was really hard! I like really glittery and unique polishes, so this one was extra hard for me since almost everything in my collection is pretty odd.

L to R: 1. Sally Hansen Nail Prisms in South Sea Pearl-a beautiful sheer opalescent color that flashes pearly turquoise. I love wearing two coats of it with opalescent glitter, or over a black polish (if I still had Amber Ruby, Turquoise Opal, or Diamond these would be on the list). 2. Revlon Smoldering-a multichrome polish that appears a shimmering grey, purple, and green. 3. Julep Yumi-a glitter polish with densely packed pink mircoglitter and larger holographic glitters. 4. Zoya Adina-Another vivid multichrome. This one is strong on lavender and a poisonous green color; sometimes you can see a pinkish shine on the edges of the nail. 5. Zoya Delilah-a bright ruby red polish with a jelly like base and fine red microglitter. Everyone should own a red like this! It’s similar to China Glaze-Ruby Pumps and Milani-Ruby Jewels. 6. Love & Beauty Glistening Purple (Forever 21’s brand-name not on label)-A sheer shimmery blue-pink duochrome. 7. Wet n Wild Eggplant Frost-a darkened blurple-magenta duochrome. 8. Butter London Tart with a Heart-a clear base with mostly gold and a touch of black microglitters, as well as larger opalescent glitters. It’s a super gorgeous and complex shade! It’s perfect for layering; if you put it on top of a black polish it’s practically galaxy nail art in a bottle.

Zoya’s Adina

This is one of the polishes I got on Zoya’s 2 free polishes New Year’s promo. I love this polish so much! It is such a unique color. It’s an interesting duochrome where the base is purple and it has a light green flash to it. The photos do not do the green flash justice (you should check out some other pictures on google). The wear time is great (I think I took these pictures on day 3 of wearing the color), the dry time is great, but I do have one complaint: you can still kinda see my nail line and this is after 3 coats. I will have to try it with 4 next time. Anyway, this is definitely a top 5 in my collection, even though it has that small flaw. The two top pictures are indoors without flash and the bottom two are with flash.
Project Pan: 10, 11 & 12 plus FAIL

I recently finished a bottle of Urban Decay’s Tinted Moisturizer that I got in November during their Friends & Family sale. So, one bottle lasted me about 4 months, though I did cut this moisturizer with Clinique’s Dramatically Different Moisturizing Gel. I did this because it is surprisingly thick and not so moisturizing. If you used it the way I did without mixing in more moisturizer, I think it would probably only last 2-3 months. The pump also dispensed too much product. I bought two at the time because they were around $5 each and I will be using the second bottle. However, it definitely would have not been worth it if I bought it at its regular price (I don’t remember the full price for the old packaging, but the new larger size is 1.69 fl. oz. for $30). I hope they changed the formulation with the new tubes! When I am through with these I will try another kind of foundation.
Btw, on my nails is Zoya’s Delilah and my ring finger is topped with Sephora by OPI’s Don’t be Eggnogious.

I have had this deluxe sample of this night cream for a while and finally used it up. I haven’t yet met a Korres product I do not like. All of their Quercetin & Oak formulas give visible results (though I have yet to form deep wrinkles). Some people might not be able to deal with the scent (smells similar to Play Doh) but this does not bother me.

I thought I had taken a picture of my finished deluxe sized tube, but I guess I threw it away before I got the chance. I also really like H2O+ and this stuff was very moisturizing without being heavy. There are some weird beads in it though that were not very mushable so I just swept them off my face after rubbing the lotion in.
So bad news: I FAILED this Project Pan. I saw Sephora’s NARS VIB promo and really wanted to get the stuff so I placed an order :( It did not help that I had an online credit sitting on my account, either. Since I broke it, I also ended up indulging in Zoya’s Valentine’s Promo (Delilah was the red I picked out) and I did some drugstore haulage from Ulta in which I got a few L’Oreal Infallible shadows and a Physician’s Formula Shimmer Strip. I will show these off soon, since I love both! As far as this failed Project Pan, maybe I should have started out with a smaller number. I want to keep documenting finishing my products, but not totally restrict myself from buying. Any suggestions on how I could change the “rules?”
Wet n Wild and Love & Beauty Duochrome

Whoa! I cannot believe how awesome this color combo came out! I was mesmerized with my hands for forever. The base is a dark blurple that has bright teal show up when the light hits it. I also see pink undertones too it. Also, these colors are both cheap! The Wet n Wild was $.99 and the Love & Beauty was $2.80. Wet n Wild can be a bit goopy but it is worth the extra work. Also, Love & Beauty’s non shimmer colors take forever to dry so it is good to do really thin coats!
First, I used my Sephora by OPI hydrating base coat. Then I put on a coat of Wet n Wild’s Eggplant Frost. Then I put on two thin coats of Love & Beauty’s polish in Glistening Purple (had to look this up on Forever 21’s site because it wasn’t on the label). I topped it off with Milani’s Glosse Top Coat. Later that week I put Make Up For Ever’s Glitter in #6 on the tips.

Sephora by O.P.I. Charge It!

I just wanted to say that I am so impressed with this color (even if it is pretty thin and you can still see your nail line after 3 coats). This picture was taken after I had worn it for 7 days! I used Sephora by OPI’s Hydrator Base Coat and Milani’s Glosse Top Coat. I am not sure if this is limited edition, but it was part of their As Good as Gold Holiday ‘11 collection.
A base coat of black + 2 coats of Revlon’s Facets of Fuschia.
Milani 3D Holographic in HD and Jewel FX in Gems

Please excuse my worn tips; I should have taken pictures when my nails dried instead of 4 days later. This is two coats of Milani’s HD with one coat of Gems over it. I used their Glosse Top Coat afterwards. It dried pretty quickly and was shiny, though wear time is only good (not excellent as I was hoping). Gems is a pretty good dupe for OPI’s Rainbow Connection :)
First attempt at gradient nails. Used Revlon’s Gold Coin, Zoya’s Mimi, and Sephora’s 212.
Wet n Wild Wild Shine Polishes

These nail polishes are pretty good considering that they are only $1. The formula is pretty thick…it was so thick that I ended up peeling a couple of the nail polishes right off of my nails after a couple days. At least the glitter was packed pretty densely. Below is two coats of the pink with one coat of the opal on top (plus the base and top coat).
