Dried out gel liners are the bane of every makeup purchaser’s existence. The general consensus is that once a gel liner dries, it must be thrown out. WRONG. That’s just a waste of money.

It depends on how dry the gel liner formula already is & how long/often you tend to keep it open. If you use it on a daily basis & leave it open for 10 minutes at a time, it’s possible that it dries out within a month to a month & a half. I’d say 3 months max though.

DIY: BLACKHEADS, BE GONE
Bye bye blackheads: Use a half lemon and 3-4 drops of honey. Rub the lemon on your face, especially in blackhead-prone areas like nose, chin etc. Leave the lemon and honey mixture on your face for 5 minutes, then wash it with cold water. You should see the results immediately. Additionally, lemon juice will also fade other marks/spots on the face and honey will moisturize.
CAUTION: Never go out into the sun with lemon juice on your face. Lemon juice can make your skin photo sensitive, or extra sensitive to sunlight, resulting in the opposite effect - discoloration or burns.
Wait at least 30 minutes before going outside.

Today I’m going to teach you my way of doing ombre nails, I’ve found this to be the easiest way to do it. The finished result is a kind of pastel mermaid look, but you could basically use any colors you want as long as your base is the lighter of the two colors.
What you’ll need:
- two different colored nail polishes: I’m using Finger Paints’ Gimme Some Sugar and Sally Hansen Insta-dri Mint Sprint
- top coat: I’m using Seche Vite (which i highly recommend if you hate waiting for nails to dry)
- nail polish remover
- cotton swabs
- make up sponges
- cup of water
- optional: ~GLITTER~ I’m using Wet N Wild Fergie Hollywood Walk of Fame, JUDGE AWAY, but its a really good star glitter.
So I’m going to try to explain the steps as simple as possible.
- Paint your base coat and let it dry completely, I did mine the night before I shot these photos
- Dip the make up sponge in your cup of water
- Squish most of the water out of it but make sure it’s still a bit moist
- Paint on your base coat on the edge of the sponge and the color you want to fade into right under it, it helps if they overlap a little. It’s okay to be messy in this step.
- Now take the sponge and with the base color part facing your cuticles, start dabbing lightly around your nail until you get the desired effect. It might take a few tries but you’ll get it.
- Clean up your messy ass fingers with a cotton swab and some nail polish remover.
- Add some glitter if you want, top coat that bitch and you’re done!
The thing that’s key here is the water and the make up sponges. Regular sponges are a bit more “airy” and will give you a really spongey look, but with a make up sponge it really looks a lot more uniform. The water also helps blend things out a little better, and keeps the nail polish from getting super tacky.
